I recently had the pleasure of accompanying ROCO’s Editor-in-Chief, Rachael Colton, to lunch at James Street South in Belfast. In the 10 years since it opened its doors, James Street South has established itself as one of the finest eateries on the Belfast restaurant scene. It is run by husband and wife team Niall and Joanne McKenna who have won multiple awards for their classic French take on local Northern Irish produce.
Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the friendly and polite staff and shown to a window table. The intimate dining room at James Street South is striking with its high ceilings and modern simplistic décor. The atmosphere is one of elegance and grandeur.
